Dr. Formal was a Reviewer for the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and wrote critical reviews for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has contributed to numerous papers, chapters and abstracts in the medical publications of Archives of Physical and Medical Rehabilitation and Internal Medicine, The Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine and the Journal of Neurotrauma Principles and Techniques of Spine Surgery.
